Exhibition of Paintings by the Indian Diaspora

As you are aware, the 13th Edition of the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD) convection, the flagship event of the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA), will be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 7th to 9th January, 2015.  PBD 2015 is special as it is the centenary year of the return of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa to India to lead us to freedom.

The 13th edition of PBD which seeks to bring the expertise and knowledge of Overseas Indians on a common platform to benefit country’s development process, will be a fitting tribute to the Mahatma.  The Government of Gujarat will be the State partner of this event.   

The Convention will be formally inaugurated on 8th January, 2015 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister after “Pre-PBD events on the 7th January, 2015.  Many eminent PIOs/NRIs and other important guests from India and abroad are likely to take part in the convention. 

In order to celebrate the occasion in a befitting manner, it has been decided to have a Painting Exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi wherein the paintings of overseas Indian artists are to be exhibited for the benefit of the participants during the PBD 2015.  The guideline and other details are available on the PBD 2015 website as follows:
