A new interdependence: Activating a new diplomacy between India and the UK

High Commission hosted a dialogue organized by FICCI and University of East Anglia on changing dynamics as India and the UK task themselves with maintaining and strengthening their preeminent roles as responsible, influential and dynamic international actors and partners, especially when the workings of diplomatic engagement extend into the realms of business cooperation, education, and civil society.

The dialogue focused on India’s new economic, geopolitical and educational developments and how this impacts global and in particular, UK's to engagement with India.

The event included a keynote address by High Commissioner Mr. Y.K. Sinha and a special address by FICCI Secretary-General Dr A Didar Singh. Mr Asoke Mukerji, Former Ambassador of India to the United Nations and Mr. Dan Rycroft (Chair of the India Dialogue at the University of East Anglia) delivered the imagural addresses. Key speakers included Ms Laura Clarke, Head, South Asia, FCO, Shailesh Vara MP and others.
