image India launches programme to attract UK investments
India launched a new initiative to attract investments from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the UK by providing them the hand- holding. Access India Programme (AIP), launched by the Indian High Commission in the UK along with knowledge partner UK India Business Council (UKIBC), will work as a market entry support system for smaller companies with a potential to expand into the Indian market.

image Net direct tax collections grow 16% to Rs 3.86 lakh cr in April-Sept
The provisional figures of direct tax collections up to September 2017 show that net collections are at Rs 3.86 lakh crore, which is 15.8 per cent higher than the net collections for the corresponding period last year, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said on Wednesday.

image Government to Invest $3.8 Billion to Upgrade Security, Police Reforms
India's Cabinet approved plans to invest nearly $4 billion in the "Modernization of Police Forces" program, said Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The funds will be spent over three years, with the central government providing approximately 80 percent of the investment and states providing the rest.

image India's coffee exports up 9.36% in 2016-17 marketing year
Coffee exports from India, Asia s third-largest producer and exporter of coffee, rose by 9.36 per cent to 3,76,873 tonne in the marketing year that ended September 2017, buoyed by higher global prices, according to state-run Coffee Board.
