VACANCY FOR THE POST OF HANDYMAN-CUM-MESSENGER
IN THE NEHRU CENTRE, LONDON CULTURAL WING OF
THE HIGH COMMISSION OF INDIA, LONDON

Applications are invited for the local post of ‘Handyman-Cum-Messenger’ in The Nehru Centre, London cultural Wing of the High Commission. Candidates applying for the post should be equivalent grades of 10+2 with good knowledge of English. The candidates should be over 18 years of age.

The selected candidate would be mainly required to work:

  • 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

  • removing and reinstating chairs, carpets tables and podium from the stage on a daily basis

  • assist the artist to hang pictures and help remove them as well as carry out small electrical jobs;

  • take deliveries of stationery, water, books, paintings etc and other supplies,

  • maintain database, carry out mailing of TMC booklets

  • proficiency in computer for dispatch of e-calendars and e-booklets and maintenance and updating  of e-database and

  • to man TNC Reception.

  • to coordinate with Web master

The emoluments of the selected candidate will be in the pay scale of £972-8-1252/-plus admissible Cost of Living Allowance and other.
