- Valid passport of person seeking the certificate
- Pension pay book (if available)
- The fee
Procedures/Documents required for Consular Services pertaining to the Death Certificate:
- Death certificate from the relevant local authority
- Coroner's Out of England order
- Doctor's Free from Infection certificate
- Embalming certificate
- Certificate from the undertaker confirming that the packing of body is in accordance with international regulations

Procedures/Documents required for Consular Services pertaining to the Ashes/Human remains Certificate:
- Death certificate from the relevant Local Authority
- Cremation certificate
- Certificate from the undertaker confirming that the urn contains ashes of the deceased person
- The fee
Additional Documents required for applicants other than Indian passport holders.
- All passports held by the applicant in original (continuity of Indian passports and Foreign national passports) with photocopies. A penalty will be charged if there are any discrepancies in the documents produced.
- If British passport, naturalisation certificate is required.

Application forms for the passport services can be submitted to the High Commission on working days between 9.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.
